Brian Sims Awards 9th March

The Brian Sims Awards were awarded by Araminta Winn at the David Broome Event Centre on March 9th. It was amazing to nearby it was two Welsh juniors that were being awarded this year!

Wely [Llewlyn Chapman] and Jack (Kedward) received their long awaited Brian Sims scholarship awards at the David Broome Event centre last night.It was a lovely evening and the driving trials people gave them great support.Many thanks to Emily Ham, James Broome, Minta Winn and Andrew Counsell. Just such a shame Wely [Llewelyn Chapman] had to miss out on Jessie Dudley Apicella hackney day!

Jack Kedward’s recount of the day:  On 9th March I was invited to the David Broome Event Centre to be presented with my trophy that I won for the Brian Sims Bursary Competition.  It was the same weekend as the British Carriagedriving training event and the presentation was made before the events dressage presentation, so there were a lot of big driving names there. Minta Winn presented the trophy to me, it’s a lovely big trophy which I was very proud to receive.
