BDS Wales AGM – WELSH JUNIOR DRIVERS This year we had 12 write ups from our junior members throughout Wales – they were all asked to write what they had done this year with their horses and ponies, events they had attended, etc. We split the Juniors into three categories – under 10 ,10 to 14 and 15 to 17. We had three in the under 10 section – Sian Kelly Hubbard (6), Natalia Kelly (7), Gareth Kelly (8). In the 10 to 14 section we had six young drivers – Esmay Parry (10), Daniel Bent (10), Owen Kelly (10), Amelia Lillie (10), Mali Davies (12), Huw Kelly (13). In the 15 to 17 section we had three – Charlie Parry (15), Bryn Kelly (16), Rhian Hockings (17). Morfydd Greatorex (our representative for our Welsh Juniors) had prepared special rosettes, medals and a goody bag for each one. Sam Searle our junior commissioner had received all of the write ups beforehand and had chosen one from each age group to receive a Junior Achiever rosette. They were all good, so it was not an easy decision. The under 10 winner was Sian Kelly Hubbard, the 10 to 14 winner was Mali Davies and the 15 to 17 winner was Charlie Parry. These young drivers are a credit to Wales so keep driving and having fun with your horses and ponies and let’s look forward to 2026.
